The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Sunday Nduka, praised the organization and impact of the recently launched SOPA PANS Football League. The opening ceremony, which took place at the Faculty, was marked by vibrant performances, enthusiastic commentary, and strong student participation.
According to the Dean, the event was not only exciting but also a testament to the diverse talents within the Faculty. “The event was so well-organized and exciting that I believe the staff should be recognized as part of the success story,” he noted. Members of PANS Association served band players, a saxophonist, and enthusiastic commentators.
Professor Nduka expressed admiration for the level of creativity and coordination displayed during the event, humorously suggesting that the SOPA PANS league could serve as a model for enhancing the Nigerian professional league. He further emphasized the importance of nurturing well-rounded graduates who possess both academic excellence and practical skills.
“The most inspiring part of this experience for me is the reassurance that we are not only developing academically capable individuals but also young men and women with strong skills and talents that can be properly harnessed to help build Nigeria,” he said.
The Dean has expressed interest in attending the final match and encouraged the organizers to formally invite the Faculty. He concluded by thanking PANS UNIZIK for the opportunity to witness the event firsthand.
