From its birthplace in a small office in a small office in NAU temporal site, Awka, to the hub of Knowledge / Center for learning it is today, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Unizik has been driven by a vision of the Pioneer Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof. Ilochi Okafor (SAN) and Coordinator Prof. Ikemefuna C. Uzochukwu to have a positive impact in the Pharmacy Profession through Teaching, Research & Service and contribute to the greater good of well-being/humanity. That vision has guided the faculty’s growth to Pharm D status, top University ranking, Translational research and graduation of noble Pharmacists since 2003.
Now, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Unizik is a world class school of Pharmacy with eight departments and top ranking in field of Pharmaceutical research. With high impact research oriented lecturers, well-furnished laboratories and conducive classrooms, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Unizik provides the enabling environment to make cutting-edge discoveries.
